Camping with your own tent is included with every entrance ticket. Room packages include entrance for every occupant; room-only stays and shared-room beds require a valid entrance ticket per person.

One estate, two buildings
Kasteel de Berckt is the name of the entire festival estate. The indoor accommodation is spread across two distinct buildings: the Historic Castle and the Farmhouse. Both are part of the same festival, but their atmosphere and position on the grounds are different.

Neither building is better — the best choice depends on whether you prefer historic atmosphere and a little more distance, or a central position close to the main shared spaces.

NO. 01 — INDOOR · RECOMMENDED
A Private Room of Your Own
1–4 guests · Historic Castle or Farmhouse
Choose a private room for one, two, three or four people in either the Historic Castle or the Farmhouse. Most rooms include their own bathroom with shower and toilet — the limited simple single rooms are the exception. Bed linen and one towel per person are included, so you can arrive, settle in and focus on the gathering.

A Bed in a Shared Room
5–8 or max. 3 guests · Female & male categories where listed
Travelling alone and happy to share? Reserve your own bed in a shared room and stay inside with other festival guests. You book one sleeping place, and we arrange the room allocation. Bed linen, one towel and access to a bathroom are included.

ROOM OPTIONS IN DETAIL
Simple Single Rooms
A small number of simpler single rooms are available at a lower accommodation price. Choose between a one-person room with a shared bathroom or a one-person room with its own bathroom. These rooms are limited and may sell out quickly.
Large Female Dormitory
For the most affordable indoor winter stay, women can reserve a bed in the large shared dormitory in the Historic Castle. This female-only room accommodates more than ten guests. You will sleep indoors with a larger group and share the available bathroom facilities. Bring an open mind and respect each other’s rest.
Single Use of a Two-Person Room
Would you like extra space and privacy as a solo guest? A limited number of two-person rooms may be booked for single use. This option costs more because the complete room is reserved for one guest.
More ways to stay
Indoor rooms are limited and sell out first. These options keep you close to the gathering — or give you more independence.
Bring Your Own Tent
Camping with your own tent is included with your Winter Edition festival ticket. It is the simplest way to stay on the estate and remain close to the gathering without booking additional accommodation. Bring your own tent and all the sleeping equipment you need for cold and potentially wet January weather.

Camper or Caravan — with Electricity
Prefer to sleep in your own camper or caravan? Book a dedicated winter pitch with electricity and bring your own warm home on wheels. Pitches are limited, so reserve your vehicle place in addition to the correct festival entrance ticket.

Stay Outside the Estate
You are welcome to arrange your own hotel, holiday home or B&B nearby and join the festival each day. Book an entrance ticket only, and arrive refreshed from your own place.
Arriving by car? Add the special parking ticket for guests staying outside the estate — parking on site is only available with this ticket.
Staying on site gives you the fullest festival experience, but an external stay can be a good alternative when indoor rooms are sold out or when you prefer more independence.
The little things, taken care of
Bathrooms, linen & towels
Most private rooms have their own bathroom with shower and toilet. The limited basic single room with shared bathroom and the dormitory options are exceptions. Bed linen and one towel per person are included with indoor stays. Bring an extra towel or bathrobe if you plan to use the sauna, hot tubs or wellness facilities.
Room keys
There is one key per room. If you share a room, agree together who keeps the key or leave it at the welcome desk when this service is available.
WiFi & unplugging
Free WiFi is available, but the signal is not equally strong throughout the estate. We invite you to keep phones and laptops in your room as much as possible and be fully present with the gathering.
Room allocation
You choose the accommodation type, building and capacity shown in the ticket shop. The organisation allocates the exact room. You may share a preference after booking, but individual room requests cannot be guaranteed.
Temperature
Winter rooms are indoors, but temperatures can still vary between buildings and rooms. Bring warm layers and comfortable sleepwear — an extra warm layer is always useful.
Parking & arrival
A loading and unloading zone near the main building makes for a comfortable arrival. After unloading, park your car in the designated parking area — a separate parking ticket is available in the ticket shop. On site, follow the signs and the directions of our team.

TRAVELLING FROM ABROAD
International guests can travel through airports such as Eindhoven, Düsseldorf or Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, then continue by train and regional public transport. International rail travel is also possible through the Dutch and German networks. Check the complete route before booking your flight or train.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Travel by train to Venlo Station and continue by regional bus towards Baarlo. Plan your complete route shortly before departure, because timetables and engineering works can change. From the nearest stop, continue on foot to Kasteel de Berckt.

Every indoor stay includes a made bed with bed linen and one towel per person, plus access to bathroom facilities. Private rooms are booked per room; shared rooms and the dormitory are booked per bed. Planning to use the sauna, hot tubs or wellness? Bring an extra towel or bathrobe.
Most private rooms have their own bathroom with shower and toilet. The exceptions are the limited simple single rooms with a shared bathroom and the large female dormitory, where you share the available bathroom facilities. Shared-room beds always include access to a bathroom.
A complete package combines your festival entrance and a private room in one ticket — the easiest option. Already have an entrance ticket? Then book a room-only stay. Travelling solo? Reserve a single bed in a shared room or in the female dormitory and add your entrance ticket separately. The ticket shop always shows current availability and the total price.
Rooms are located in the Historic Castle — the original building, a little further from the main indoor hub — or in the Farmhouse, the newer main building at the centre of the festival. You choose the accommodation type, building and capacity in the ticket shop, and we allocate the exact room. You may share a preference after booking via connect@chocolateclub.world — we will do our best, but individual room requests cannot be guaranteed.
Bed linen and one towel per person are included. An extra towel/bathrobe is recommended because of swimming/wellness.
Arrival and departure days/times differ per event. We kindly refer you to the specific event page or the ticket shop, where the correct days and times are listed.
We have a special loading and unloading zone near the main building to ensure a comfortable arrival. After unloading your things, you can park in a designated parking spot. If you arrive on time, there’s a small car park next to the main building. Otherwise we offer plenty of parking just a five-minute walk from the location. Follow the directions of our team on site or follow the signs.
A free WiFi connection is available, but it’s not equally strong everywhere. At Chocolate Club events we promote a healthy lifestyle and awareness. We encourage you to experience our events with as little technology as possible — please leave laptops and phones in your room.
Yes, you’re welcome to stay elsewhere and come to Castle De Berckt each day. For a short journey, look for accommodation in Baarlo, such as B&B Puur Baarlo, B&B Johannes-Hoeve or Hotel Centraal Baarlo.
Venlo has more options, including Stadsherberg Ald Weishoès and Hotel Wilhelmina. Bus 77 connects Venlo station with the Baarlo, De Berckt stop. Please check the timetable for your travel dates, particularly if you plan to return late in the evening.
